MADE TO LEAD & MORE…
JAMes
Over this last month I have had the privilege of meeting with several our partner organisations. It has been a real encouragement to spend time with people who share in the desire to impact this generation for Jesus and to strategise as to how we can best meet the needs of young people together.
We are excited by the opportunities that God is inviting Made for More into as we begin to deliver new workshops and resources within special Educational Needs schools, youth groups & within the sports sector in partnership with Sports Chaplaincy Ireland. We are excited to serve and support young people within football, GAA, rugby and hockey clubs, supporting the chaplains who are doing an incredible work as God’s ambassadors within these communities.
On a personal level, I had the privilege of a weeks travel, following in the footsteps of the apostle Paul’s second missionary journey as part of my theological studies with Dallas Seminary. It was an incredible time as we travelled through Philippi, Corinth, Athens and Ephesus during the day and engaged in the teaching sessions at night. I was captivated by Paul’s faith, commitment and courage to live out the call of Jesus upon his life and the divine perspective that Paul operated with. The challenge is to try and do likewise in my own life.

This was a really exciting month, we helped run a Made to Lead conference in Methody. This included their sixth form pupils and it was brilliant. The pupils looked at key aspects of leadership, self awareness, critical thinking and stress management we gave them tips of how to understand who they are more and what attributes make a good leader in all aspects of life. We also managed to gunge a member of staff so it was an incredible day all round, we have more events in the pipeline so watch this space. I also got the opportunity to teach the bible in a couple of different church services this month, what a privilege and my favourite thing i get to do as part of my job. Thank you for all of your prayers, they keep us going and give us strength in this busy season. Next week we are having a staff retreat, this will be a time of teaching, vision casting, listening to God as we plan for next year and also have some time for fun bonding as a staff team. Please pray for a fruitful time together and that God’s presence is felt tangibly.

This month God has been reminding me the importance of keeping our eyes fixed on Him in every circumstance. As I do, I keep seeing His faithfulness, kindness and provision. In the business of this month I have seen Him at work as we speak truth over young people and remind them of their value. A highlight was speaking in Carrick Grammar SU, it’s so encouraging to see how the young people there are building community and it was amazing to see our intern Rhys using his gifting to share God’s word.
I would love to ask for continued prayer for unity in our team, wisdom in decision making and our own walks with Jesus. Please pray for our discipleship weekend; for God’s leading and that He would move in the lives of our team. Please also pray for our clothing team as hopefully we will be launching a new collection next month.

During the month of March I was so blessed to be able to speak in RBAI Scripture Union for three successive weeks. I felt God pushing me to speak on walking in freedom from the chains and sins that hold us down. As young men in a world that CS Lewis describes as the ‘Kingdom of Noise’, these lads are so often bombarded by attacks from the enemy, their own struggles and what the world says over them. Jesus says something different. In John 6v37 He says: “All that the Father gives me will come to me and whoever comes to me I will never cast out.” We focused on the heart of God for sinners and that he will never cast us out, we just need to come back to Him.
In a world full of Prodigal sons and daughters, please continue to pray for the young people we speak to on a daily basis. Pray that God would open their eyes to the fact that He came to give them life and life to the full!

This month we delivered our first set of Special Educational Needs workshops - Praise the Lord! Watching God bring to life what we as a team had been dreaming of and working hard to develop was nothing short of beautiful. I feel encouraged that the pupils at Glenveagh Special School absolutely loved our workshops as we focused on body sensations, putting language to their feelings and giving them space to explore how to cope with their emotions.
Next month we are visiting Park View Special School for 4 workshops - Please join me in praying for the students we will be engaging with! Also for our SEN project overall, that is will unfold in God’s pace and the right doors will open in His timing. Thank you - I can’t wait to update you next

March has been busy but equally amazing.
We have been in so many schools, BB’s & youth groups. Constantly thanking God for these opportunities because it’s actually incredible how many young people we have reached and the vast amount of topics that we’ve spoken about - incredible.
A stand out moment was the Made to Lead conference that we took part in at Methody at the start of March. Being able to talk to around 400 young people abut how they can reach their potential as great leaders was such a privilege. Please pray for these young people as they go out into post school life
Please pray for team as we go on our discipleship trip at the end of March. We pray that it will be an incredible time for the interns and volunteers and that they will learn so much more about who God and appreciate how much we all need to strive to be like Jesus.
