THE END OF SUMMER!

JAMIE

August feels like a blur, it has been an intense month of preparation, training and workshops. This period is always essential for the team, as we get ready for schools and churches starting back up after a summer break. Join us in praying for the year ahead, pray big prayers, remembering that we have a big and powerful God.

A highlight for me this month was a 48 hour staff retreat. It was an opportunity to connect, pray and dream about the future of Made For More. Please pray for the team as we look to steward God’s ministry with wisdom and humility, seeking to follow Him every step of the way.

Our new volunteers and interns have just finished their induction week and are ready to serve for the year ahead. Please join us in giving thanks for the 11 young adults that will serve alongside us this year. We are so blessed by their heart to join us & see a generation of young people reached with the love of Jesus.

On Saturday I go to the USA to work with John Brown University. I will be taking lectures, delivering workshops, mentoring and coaching rugby for 8 days. Please pray for Naomi and the girls while I am away and pray that my anxiety remains under control.

I am so thankful for your prayers and I am excited to see how God answers them over the coming year.

DAWSON

As my year at Made for More comes to an end, I am continually thanking God for the good works he has given me the privilege of walking in.

This summer I had the opportunity to lead a camp at Mullartown House that consisted of 24 leaders and over 80 young people between the ages of 12-15. We explored the book of Ephesians looking at who Jesus is, who they are in light of who He is, and what He has done for them.

Please be praying for the 80 young people, that the seeds that have been sown this week would have landed in good soil and would continue to be watered and grow throughout their lives.

It has been such a privilege to help encourage and build up our young leaders as we have looked to disciple them well. Last week we created a space where each of them had an opportunity to speak to the group from God’s word as well as exploring spiritual gifts. It was incredible to see them grow in these areas.

Finally will you join me in prayer for two girls called Lauren and Jessica. They are two campers who came to know Jesus as their saviour this week. Both of these girls have such a desire to walk in a manner worthy of God and were totally transformed by the Holy Spirit this week. Pray for them as they begin their new lives that they would have strength and wisdom in how to glorify God, and that they would never forget that they are His masterpiece, made in His image, for a purpose. Also, please remember to pray for me as I transition out of Made for More and into a PGCE in Liverpool. That I would sense the Lords presence in my life and continue to seek him daily.

CHRIS

A highlight for me this month was getting the opportunity to welcome and train some of our new Made for More volunteers and interns. We delved deep into the identity of Made for More and I was reminded in such a fresh way, just how fearfully and wonderfully we have all been made.

Having such meaningful, challenging and fun moments with these amazing young men and women was really life-giving and I cannot wait to see what God has in store for them over the course of the next year!

Please continue to pray for God to teach, shape and mould them more and more over this next year, that they would grow in faith and love and would develop into men and women after His heart.

BETH

“Newness” is the word I would use to encapsulate August. A new team has been entrusted to us from the Lord; a team full of strength and willingness which I am so excited about! We have 3 interns and 8 volunteers; Please pray for unity and love for all of us. “By this, everyone will know you are my disciples, if you love one another” John 13:35.

I am also really looking forward to simply getting into schools for workshops as the academic year begins once again. Rebekah and I were chatting about how each workshop is truly a “divine appointment” where we have space to show God’s love and kindness to young people. What a privilege!

Thank you for taking the time to pray for our ministry - please continue to shower each workshop/divine appointment in prayer!

Thank you.

REBEKAH

Thank you for your continued prayers over our team. I was impacted so deeply this month by how well our volunteers love one another. As Mikey and Dawson are heading off to study in Liverpool, Sarah, Anna and Vicky organised a night to bless them. Please pray over next year for the boys and for the girls as they seek to continue creating this culture with our new volunteers. For the new members of our team our heart is that they experience the love we read about in John 13:35.

Our recent teacher training sessions with Cullybackey College and Methody have been so encouraging, some staff commented that it was the best session they’ve had in over 20 years of their career! Please pray for the impact this will have on both teachers and pupils.

As we look ahead to start a new school year I’m already so encouraged by the new gifting, skills and abilities God has brought to Made for More through our new team. Please pray for each opportunity we will have to speak truth and share Jesus.

JAMES

I was delighted to serve at CIY’s youth conference “Move” where it became very clear and evident that God was changing lives and young people were “returning to the Father”. I was involved in my church’s youth week. Every day we looked at a season learning that in every season God is with you. This week was literally unbelieveable. To see youth pray for and encourage one another and to see young people having a true desire for further depth in their relationship with God is incredible.

I am excited for the next generation despite having many struggles but to see many church youth groups over the summer in awe of God with a desire to share their faith is epic! Let’s continue to pray for our nation’s youth groups and youth leaders.

Our media team has an exciting opportunity to continue to engage and encourage this generation in their journey with Jesus. Please pray as we continue to create content that God would continue to use these messages to draw people into relationship with Himself.
